Shop Hauler
Was chatting with my grandfather recently and he mentioned selling his horse truck. 1962 ford 1-ton. He bought it sometime in the 60's and has had it since. He used it to haul horses for pack trips into the back country, get fire wood, kid hauler, camper, and to haul his dirt bikes in the 60's and 70's "On Any Sunday" style. He raced Husky's, Bultaco's, probably whatever he could get his hands on, and has a bunch of trophies from back then. Needless to say, the truck has a ton of memories and I'm stoked he decided to sell it to me. Runs killer, used to be an old Standard oil truck. I rode the KZ up to his place near the Canadian border, then strapped it down in the back for the ride home. The truck has a sweet ramp for loading/unloading whatever, and it works great for bikes.

Been Awhile...
Been gone workin'. Colorado and Wyoming were on fire, and hotter than the hubs of hell. While some of you were either going to or at Born Free, I was watching you ride by from a smokey hillside along the way. Worked 26 days straight, not home for 2 weeks before that. The FXR needs some gaskets and fork seals, so I hopped on the trusty KZ when I got home. Pushed the button and the battery took a shit. Closed the garage door and walked away. Here's some random phone shots from the tour:

The Brick
Spent a little time at The Brick in Roslyn, oldest bar in Washington. Killer little bar, with a built in spittoon that has constant running water like a little river under your feet in front of the bar stools. Theres also an old jail and bowling alley in the basement, all original. If you look a little further theres a hole in the wall that served as underground access to the other bars in town during prohibition times. Pretty cool! The sled is all hand fabricated, insane! Super light and looks to be a monster. With the weather we have been having it might be more appropriate...

KZ Tank Breeding
Had HUGE dent in my original tank. I have been looking for the perfect mate for her, and the day has finally come as you can see in photo #2, they made sweet love. Together they produced the fine looking tank baby in photo #3. Some of you may know the story of this bike. Bought it around 10 years ago (I was the 2nd owner!), sold it somewhere around 2005, it moved to Canaduh, then found its way back to me. Its my favorite bike, always will be. It hauls ass, is loud as fuck, reliable, and fits me like a glove. Stoked I get to keep messin with it! maybe a suspension upgrade is in the future? I was gonna change the paint scheme after the original tank was smashed, but shit, they dont make these anymore, and its grown on me over the years.

K.I.S.S.
I dont swipe pics too often, but this shovel is perfect! Everything is where it should be, paint isn't too much, shaved legs, simple bars, perfectly friscoed tank, sweet high pipes, simple fender/struts, normal bates style solo seat, tucked in small headlight, mullins trees? just a clean example of how I think a chop should look. Pic snagged from DicE. Keep it simple people!

'64 out the door
Somethin about a '64. The one thing I wish the previous owner of my house had left behind, or forgot it where it sat. Oh well, hauled it out of the yard the other day. Interior was pretty mint! Stock '64 SS ordered from the factory with a 6 in it by an old lady. Yes, thats a SS with a 6 cylinder from the factory. Pretty sure not many with that option package.

Baby Killer
My week... Left my house at 0530 drove exactly 100 miles to work. ^^^
Here I'am in the office. ^^^ Firing boss, sneaking in some torch time...
Normal week. Apparently smoke from prescribed fires kills babies instantly or something like that. I'm sure it has no effect on me though. Anyway, I light these and put them out at work. It does NOT involve motorcycles.

Bees
So I bought a house in February. I knew there were bees in the wall when I bought it, but DAAAMN! Floor to ceiling honey comb in about a 3' section of wall. Never thought I would be sportin' a bee suit messin with these things, was kinda cool cause they couldn't get me! Pounds of honey. No I didn't eat any. Trusty shop vac came in handy for the stragglers. Shit was crazy. I didn't even start a bike this weekend...

1971 T-Bolt
This bike never "did it" for me for some reason. Traded my '58 bug for it sometime in the late 90's. J. Chomo (sp?) had it, somehow "The Toecutter" ended up with it, traded it to me, then Gormley finally got ahold of it and I think rode it around for awhile. Wonder where its at now? Anybody know what happened to J. Chomo's Bultaco? curious
